NEET UG 2021 aspirants have started an online petition addressed to exam conducting body, NTA, Prime Minister Modi, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and CBSE demanding re-examination.

After the alleged paper leak of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 at Jaipur, the students have now started an online petition on change.org alleging injustice towards genuine students who attempted the medical entrance exam fairly. The students are also demanding a re-examination.

The petition is addressed to National Testing Agency (NTA), Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, former Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) as CBSE used to conduct NEET earlier.

The petition started by one student reads, "NEET 2021 exam has not only been leaked in Rajashthan.. it was found that it's been leaked in many other states. It's not fair for the students who have genuinely attempted the paper and have practiced throughout the year for the same. So we demand re-examination, so that it is fair for students who are genuine."

This year, NEET has been surrounded by controversies. Earlier a section of students was demanding to reschedule the examination to October, which the Supreme Court, NTA and Education Ministry rejected. Then, came the paper leak rumours just one day before the examination which NTA had reportedly dismissed. The examination was conducted on September 12 (Sunday), after which the news of an alleged paper leak in a Jaipur exam centre surfaced.

NEET 2021 scores will be used for admission to medical and paramedical undergraduate courses that include Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), AYUSH, Veterinary, and BSc (Hons) Nursing programme.
