Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the OPD services of the AIIMS Deoghar in the new AYUSH Building.

The Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has dedicated the AIIMS Deoghar's AYUSH Building and Night Shelter to the nation and also inaugurated the OPD services in the new AYUSH Building. Bharati Pravin Pawar, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare also graced this event.

The AIIMS, Deoghar OPD facilities include Pulmonology, General Medicine, Dermatology, Psychiatry, surgical and allied specialities like Orthopedics, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Radiology, Pathology & Microbiology, Dentistry, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics & Gynecology.

The health minister reminded the people of Deoghar that the foundation stone of the institute was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 May 2018. He said that now the people of Deoghar can get the best of medical facilities and along with the 15 lakh residents of Deoghar, 3.19 Cr people of Jharkhand will also get the health benefits. Apart from the OPD services, the night shelter for people will help patients and their families from other places to stay and complete their treatment at AIIMS Deoghar. 

Mansukh Mandaviya also stated that the six AIIMS at Rishikesh, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Patna and Raipur are now fully functional.

Bharati Pawar said, "The Central Government has by a Gazette notification dated 30th January 2020 established the All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Deoghar, Jharkhand. This will soon be a 750-bed hospital (including 30 AYUSH beds) and shall have 100 MBBS seats and 60 nursing seats."
