Q:   Can I get direct admission in MDU Rohtak?

A:

No, the university does not offer direct admission. MDU Rohtak admission to a lot of courses is done through entrance exams. The university conducts an entrance exam to shortlist candidates for MA, MBA, LLM, etc. However, for a few non-centralised courses, admission is merit-based. Thus, for these courses, the candidate's scores in the last qualifying examination are considered for selection. Hence, the candidates must prepare well in advance as a lot of students apply for admission to MDU Rohtak but seats are limited.

Q:   How is the overall infrastructure of MDU Rohtak?

A:
{Source: B.Pharma students & alumni]

MDU Rohtak has a restrictive campus life for girl students, with limited freedom and many rules. However, there are good sports facilities and a well-stocked library. The academic schedule is busy, with over 15 lectures per week, and exams are held semesterly. Teaching methods are traditional, with an emphasis on textbooks, but students have access to a designated teacher and student representative for support. Security measures include guards and CCTV cameras, but outsiders cannot enter the campus unchecked. There have been no security breaches in the past, and the college takes a strict stance against ragging. Overall, the college provides a safe and structured environment for its students.

Based on the reviews, the overall infrastructure of the college is mixed. Some reviewers have reported that the infrastructure is well-maintained and fully equipped, while others have stated that there are some limitations and restrictions regarding the use of certain facilities.

Review 1 describes the infrastructure as "well-furnished" and mentions that there are no issues with electricity or classroom maintenance. Review 4 states that the infrastructure is "decent" and has all necessary labs, although they may not be huge or extremely spacious. Review 5 praises the quality of the labs and medical facilities, as well as the mess and canteen services.

On the other hand, Review 2 notes that students are not allowed to use the Wi-Fi in the department, although there is Wi-Fi available elsewhere on campus. Review 3 states that there is no Wi-Fi facility in the department, but it is available in the hostel. Review 5 mentions that there are some restrictions on the use of Wi-Fi.

Overall, it appears that the infrastructure of the college is adequate, but may not be top-notch or fully comprehensive. Some facilities, such as Wi-Fi, may be restricted or limited and there may be variations in the quality of different facilities. However, the college seems to provide a good range of resources and services, including sports facilities, libraries and dining options.

Summary: The infrastructure of the college is mixed, with some facilities reported as well-maintained and fully equipped, while others have limitations or restrictions. The college provides a good range of resources and services, but the quality of facilities may vary.

Pharmacy at Maharshi Dayanand University.
Placements: Placements is the area where this University performs miserably, there are almost no placements in the Pharma department. None of the faculty being responsible for this is serious. I am in my final year and not a single company has visited and none of the students have been placed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise, this is among one of the best universities having fully Wi-Fi enabled hostels, library, and departments. Library is just awesome being very large and having a fully centralized AC. The food quality is quite good depending on every hostel’s mess. A very big and a premium sports complex is there as well.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and highly experienced. Their teaching quality is quite moderate. Some of the teachers are exceptionally hard working and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is standard as per guidelines of PCI. The semester exams are of easy to moderate level. 50% minimum is required to pass.
Other: The campus life is awesome. Many fests also keep happening. Sports events also take place regularly.

Reviewing Maharshi Dayanand University.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placed here is very less in number. But the deserving ones will definitely get placement offers. Many reputed companies visit for hiring. There is no programme for students internships, if you want to do a internship, you have to do it on your own, they will not help you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very well maintained and awesome looking. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. The hostel is very good and kept neat and clean. Mess facilities are also good and a canteen is also present in the campus. There is a separate sports complex also.
Faculty: The exams pattern is cool but during the exam time, there is a lot of strictness. You cannot cheat in the exams. The exam pattern is semester-wise and you have to study hard to clear your exams if you want to get good marks. They make the students ready for the industries.
Other: There are a lot of fest celebrations in the University. There are many cultural programs organized in the University.

Really good infrastructure.
Placements: There are fewer placements offered in this department. The top recruiting companies are Cipla, Sunpharma, etc. Only 50% of the students get placed. The highest package is three lakhs and sixty thousand rupees, and the lowest is two lakhs.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided are up to the mark. The infrastructure is very well organized and maintained as well. We are getting all facilities in the hostel, and our mess is also good. There are lots of canteens available on the university campus. There is also a separate sports complex.
Faculty: The teachers are quite less helpful in exams; you have to study on your own to pass. They make the students ready for the industries; yes, they are helpful in the lab, which is the exception. The exams are semester-wise, and the exams are hard. If you want to score good marks, you have to study hard.
Other: Our batch comes from different cities of Haryana, and also some students from other states make a typical relationship.

Life of a pharmacy student at MDU, Rohtak.
Placements: Placements are not at all offered by the college, so it is not worth discussing the highest and lowest packages of placements. However, some professors suggest placements based on their references in some companies. So if you think that you will get a good placement after completing your degree from this university, please avoid taking admission.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the classrooms as well as the hostel is good. Classes have wooden benches arranged in the form of a lecture hall, and a special room for presentations is also available. Hostels are also good and are daily cleaned; a single room is allotted to a single student, and one should definitely live there to enjoy some of the college life.
Faculty: Teachers have a good qualification and also help us in various activities as well as clearing our doubts in the class and on a personal basis. Semester exams are not so difficult; the marking is 75+25, 75 for the written test and 25 for the internals, and the pass percentage is 50%, which means you have to score a total of 50 marks out of 100.

Good education facilities, excluding the placements.
Placements: Our department for pharmaceutical sciences doesn't provide any placements for students. There is a placement faculty available, but the number of placements they provide is nearly zero. Internships can be pursued by students on their own, and the average package just after B Pharmacy is about 2K.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is quite impressive. The building of our department is the oldest in the university but still stands strong. There are hostels available for the students, and the hostel facilities are very impressive. They provide a good environment for students.
Faculty: The teachers present in the department are educated and have vast knowledge regarding their choice of subject. The teachers make students ready to face the world after completion of the course. The exam level depends on the study and preparation of the students.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in medical sciences and pharmaceutical products.
