The Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, has informed in the parliament that 1.49 lakh entry-level job posts are lying vacant in Indian Railways. Maximum number of vacant posts are reported in Northern Railways.

Union Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, on March 23, said in the parliament that as many as 1.49 lakh entry-level job posts are lying vacant in Indian Railways. Out of these vacancies, Northern Railways has the maximum number of vacant posts, 19,183 entry-level posts, followed by South Central Zone (17,022).

Recently, Ministry of Railways had released a circular regarding filling up promotional vacancies in Loco Running Cadre and merger of cadre/seniority of Loco Pilots (Electrical and Mechanical). The letter was written to the general managers of all zonal railways along with the vacancy positions. In the letter, the Ministry of Railways had mentioned that there is a large number of vacancies in the loco running staff, particularly in higher grades of mail express/passenger driver.

RRB Group D 2022 New Exam Date Announced

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) has announced RRB Group D 2022 new exam date. Only single-stage CBT will be conducted for RRB Group D exam and there is no CBT 2. The CBT exam will commence from July 2022. Indian Railways will adopt percentile-based normalization process wherever the number of shifts involved are more than one. Earlier, the CBT 1 exam was scheduled to be conducted from February 23, 2022, in multiple phases.

Ministry of Railways has accepted the demand raised by students regarding the revised RRB NTPC CBT 1 result 2022. The revised result will be announced in the first week of April wherein 20 times unique candidates will be selected for CBT 2. Candidates who have already qualified as per the previous years will appear for CBT 2 exam. The CBT 2 exam for Pay Level 6 will commence from May 2022. The exam for other Pay Levels will be conducted after giving a reasonable gap.
