Built at a cost of INR 75 crore, the facility aims at providing infrastructure and facilities for industry partners to set up research and technology development centres on the campus.

In order to help bridge gap between the industry and academia, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has inaugurated a 1.5 lakh sq ft Technology Research Park on the campus.  Srivari Chandrasekhar, secretary, Department of Science & Science of Technology, Government of India, inaugurated the facility that aims at providing infrastructure and facilities for industry partners to set up research and technology development centres on the institute campus.

Funded by the Union Ministry of Education and built at a cost of INR 75 crore, the park will feature facilities on a par with international standards. Srivari Chandrasekhar, secretary, Department of Science of Technology, Government of India, inaugurated the facility.

He said, “Let me assure that the Government of India is committed to technological development as presented by the Union financial Minister during Budget 2022. Hyderabad is a very vibrant entrepreneur ecosystem. Technology Research Park and Technology Incubation Park buildings conceived by IIT Hyderabad Director BS Murty are testimonial facilities for those who cannot work at home. I urge our youth to go from job-seekers to job-givers and all premier institutes to work on non-software technologies.”

“I am confident that this would be a cradle for strong and long-term industry-IITH collaboration to realise Atma Nirbhar Bharat. I am hopeful that the park will help grow our international relations with several global industries,” Murty said.
