COVID-19 spread: Cluster cases of novel coronavirus are emerging again! Three students enrolled at two private schools in Ghaziabad have tested positive for COVID-19, while a school in Noida has reported 16 cases of novel coronavirus including three among teachers, according to PTI. Ghaziabad's school located in Indirapuram, has announced three days closure while the school in Noida has shifted the teaching-learning process to online mode for a week in a bid to break the chain of infection.

Are the children diagnosed with COVID-19 XE variant?

Ghaziabad Chief Medical Officer Dr Bhavtosh Shankhdhar informed that of the three students, two are from one school and of these two, one lives in Noida. The doctor further told PTI, "Their COVID-19 test results were known while the students were at their homes and not in school. We will be carrying our tests and vaccinations in the schools.” Meanwhile, the tests are still being run to understand if the children have been diagnosed with the latest XE variant of the virus.

Ghaziabad school shut for three days

According to PTI, "The school has announced three days' closure but thereafter it will remain closed for Easter Holidays and reopen for physical classes next Monday only."

Noida School shifted online
