As precautionary against the COVID-19 spread, the district health authorities have kept the students and the teachers in isolation. In order to contain the virus spread among other students and staff members, the school has been closed for a few days.
COVID-19 is Not Over: As many as 30 students have tested positive for novel coronavirus at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Keylong, in Lahaul and Spiti on July 5. Apart from the students, six teachers were also found COVID-infected, taking the tally up to 36 positive cases in the KV school.
As precautionary against the COVID-19 spread, the district health authorities have kept the students and the teachers in isolation. In order to contain the virus spread among other students and staff members, the school has been closed for a few days. The offline classes will begin again after proper sanitization of the premise. Parents have been informed to keep a check on any COVID symptoms experienced by their children.
Meanwhile, 144 COVID cases were reported in the state on Wednesday. The number of active cases rose to 822. The highest 42 cases were recorded in Kangra, 18 in Hamirpur, 17 in Chamba, 14 in Mandi, 11 in Shimla, nine each in Kullu and Bilaspur, eight in Solan, five each in Lahaul and Spiti and Sirmaur, four in Una and two in Kinnaur.
Novel coronavirus cases are on the rise all around the country, various institutions and schools are reporting COVID-positive cases among students and staff. A total of 13 students tested positive for COVID during random testing conducted by the National Institute of Technology (NT) Jamshedpur. The tests were conducted after detecting a few COVID cases on campus. The students have been isolated and classes have been suspended for a few days as a precautionary against further spread of novel coronavirus.
