CSEET 2020 exam has been postponed to July 17 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and nation-wide lockdown. The application deadline has also been extended to June 15.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has postponed CSEET 2020 exam following the outbreak of COVID-19 and nation-wide lockdown. The exam has been postponed to July 17. Earlier, CSEET 2020 exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 28. Besides, CSEET application form deadline has also been extended to June 17. Earlier, the deadline to submit the application form was May 5.

The official notice issued regarding this reads, β€œIn view of the extended lockdown announced by Government of India and prevailing situation due to COVID 19, Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) proposed to be held on May 28 (Thursday) is postponed.”

β€œCSEET will now be held on July 17, 2020. The last date of CSEET registration for appearing in the exam is June 15, 2020,” the notice further reads.

Registered candidates will be issued CSEET admit card for appearing in the exam. Candidates need to download the admit card online by logging with the required credentials.

CSEET exam pattern comprises four parts, Business Communication, Legal Aptitude & Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment, Current Affairs. There will be viva voce of 15 minutes on Presentation and Communication Skills. The test comprises MCQs, audio clips, video clips, and descriptive questions. The duration of the test will be 135 minutes (120 Minutes for MCQ test and 15 minutes for Viva-Voce). There is no negative marking.

ICSI had discontinued the CS Foundation programme. The exam has been replaced with CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET). Students have to take CSEET for registration to Executive Programme. Candidates who have completed Class 12th will be eligible to appear in CSEET. The exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Mode. Students will be exempted from qualifying CSEET if they have cleared ICAIand ICMAI final course. The exam will be conducted in May, July, November and January.
