ICAI CA Final May 2019 postponed, as the exam date clashed with UPSC Prelims 2019

ICAI rescheduled CA May 2019 exam dates as the date clashed with other exams like UPSC Prelims 2019 and ICSI Foundation exam 2019. Read below.

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed CA Final May 2019 exams as the exam date for Group I paper were clashing with UPSC prelims 2019. CA final (May) exam for Group I papers were to be held from June 2, 2019 to June 4, 2019. ICAI exams have been postponed because the exam centres stated inability to conduct UPSC Prelims and CA Final exams on the same day.

The notification on official website of ICAI stated, ‘Postponement of Paper on 2nd June 2019 to 4th June 2019 was occasioned by the inability expressed by many exam centres to conduct the exam on that date owing to their holding UPSC exams on that day’.

The exam date for CA Final (May) exams for Group II for June 4 also have been rescheduled to new exam date on June 13, 2019 since, Group I exam needs to be concluded before Group II exams.

ICAI has released a notification on May 3, 2019 as well regarding re-scheduling of CA exam dates.

ICAI CA Foundation rescheduled as exam date clashed with ICSI Foundation exam:

The exam date for CA Foundation exams 2019 have been postponed for convenience of some candidates who will also be appearing for ICSI exam (Foundation) on June 8 and June 9, 2019. Check exam dates for ICSI June 2019 

Moreover, the exam dates for CA May exams 2019 were postponed earlier also due to Loksabha Elections 2019. Earlier, schedule was as under –
