ICAI CA Intermediate Course: Relaxation in Study Period for May, 2022 Exam

Study Period for students who appeared for CA Foundation exams in July 2021 has been reduced from eight months to six months.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), announced on September 15, the students who registered for May 2021 Foundation exams and appeared for it in July due to delay in conduction of the exam owing to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, will be required to complete Study Period of only six months instead of eight months to be able to appear for the CA Intermediate exams in May, 2022.

“In order to remove hardship caused to the students due to postponement of May, 2021 Foundation Examination, the Competent Authority has decided that the students who have cleared July, 2021 Foundation Examination are required to register in Intermediate Course till November 1, 2021 in order to appear in May, 2022 Intermediate Examination. Such students are hereby allowed to appear in the Intermediate Examination to be held in May, 2022 after completion of six months Study Period in place of eight months Study Period,” said the official notification issued by the ICAI.

Earlier today, the ICAI had also announced exemption of registration fee for all the levels of CA course, for candidates who lost any of their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Such students can avail the fee waiver facility by furnishing relevant documents at the time of online registration for ICAI CA courses.
