CMA June 2024 Results Declared; Pass Percentage Across Courses
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) announced the results for the CMA Inter and Final exam held in June 2024. CMA pass percentage across Intermediate courses have shown a slight improvement for candidates who took the exam for either of the groups. CMA inter pass percentage dropped for candidates who took the exam for both groups of Intermediate course in June 2024 term.
On the contrary, CMA Final pass percentage saw a rise for candidates who appeared for Group III subjects only. CMA June 2024 Final pass percentage dropped across other categories significantly.

As per the CMA Inter results June 2024, 4866 candidates completed Intermediate course. On the other hand, as many as 1315 candidates completed the CMA Final course. ICMAI will soon publish the details of CMA toppers for both Inter and Final courses on the official website, icmai.in.

Besides the pass percentages, the number of candidates who took the exam has also changed. In the past session, a total of 24547 candidates took the CMA Inter exam. Out of these 15629 candidates took the Inter exam only for Group-I subjects, while 3761 candidates took the CMA Inter exam for Group-II subjects. As many as 5157 candidates appeared for both groups of CMA Inter course under Dec 2023 term.
In the current session, 28,345 candidates took the CMA exam for Group I subjects. While, 12,008 CMA students took the Intermediate exam for Group II subjects. A total of 9054 candidates took the CMA exam for both Group I and Group II subjects.

In the past session, a total of 4880 candidates took the CMA Final exam with new syllabus. Out of these 2278 candidates took the Final exam only for Group-III subjects, while 1449 CMA students took the Final exam for Group-IV subjects. As many as 1153 candidates appeared for both groups of CMA Final course in Dec 2023 term.
In the current session, 8643 candidates took the CMA exam for Group III subjects. While, 4530 CMA students took the Final exam for Group IV subjects. A total of 3165 candidates took the CMA exam for both Group III and Group IV subjects.
Q: Can I check CMA results immediately after the exam?
No. CMA results are released within 3 months of the exam date. as per the CMA test structure, the CMA Foundation exam is held as an OMR based test. Therefore, candidates are evaluated only after they have submitted their OMR based answer sheets. On the contrary, CMA exams for Intermediate and Final courses have subjective questions. Therefore, evaluating the performance of each candidate can be done via a subject matter expert.
Therefore, candidates cannot check the CMA results immediately after the submitting their answer sheets.
Q: When will ICMAI release CMA results?
Ths institute of Cost Accountants of India, commonly known as ICMAI, releases the CMA results in two to three months of the exam dates for Intermediare and Final courses. CMA Foundation results are released comparatively early. Owing to a MCQ based question pattern in CMA Foundation exam, the results for CMA foundation are typically released within a month of the exam date.
CMA Intermediate results and CMA Final results are released on a same date. However, the link to check the CMA Intermediate results and CMA Final results are hosted on the separate windows.
Q: What is the mode for release of CMA results?
CMA results are declared for all the CMA students who appear for the exam as per the stipulated dates. The results for all three levels of CMA exam are issued online on the official exam website. Candidates need to provide login credentials, including their registration number to check the CMA results for Foundation, Intermediate or Final course level. ICMAI releases the CMA results separately for Foundation course. While the results for both Intermediate and Final exams are released on the same day.
ICMAI does not entertain any requests for offline showcase of the CMA results. Therefore, candidates can check the results from the official website only.
In the past session, i.e. Dec 2023, ICMAI conducted the inter and final exams with old and new syllabus separately. Whereas, ICMAI conducted the CMA June 2024 exam with the new syllabus scheme only.
For a comparative analysis, the previous session’s CMA pass percentage in the tables above indicates the pass rates for candidates who qualified with new syllabus.
