ICSI extends deadline for opt-out facility; check details here

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has extended the opt-out option for students enrolled for CS December 2020 session. According to the official notice, the deadline has been extended till December 31. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, ICSI CS June 2020 exam has been merged with the December session. Using the opt-out facility, student can transfer their candidature to June 2021 session.

Students can choose the opt-out facility through two different modes: choosing opt-out facility without any specific reason and choosing the facility due to COVID-19. Candidates choosing opt-out facility without any specific reason can do so by submitting an online request on the google form link. No specific document is required for the same. The last date for submission of requests is December 31, 2020.

Choosing opt-out facility due to COVID-19 facility is available for candidates if he/she or the family members are staying with COVID positive person during the December 2020 session. Such candidates need to avail the opt-out facility by submitting COVID-19 certificate on the given link. The last date for availing the one-time facility is January 15, 2021.

Once the request for opt-out facility is received, the candidature of the student for the ICSI December 2020 session will be cancelled. Students appearing in all papers of the December 2020 session, their opt-out request will be rejected.
