AFCAT 1 Result 2022 (OUT) Live Updates: Scorecard, Cutoff, AFSB Seat Selection

To and fro travelling fare by the shortest route of AC-III Tier/AC Chair Car or actual normal bus fare will be re-imbursed to the candidates appearing in AFSB for the first time. Change of address, if any, must be intimated to the Board well before arrival. Candidates must furnish the railway ticket/ bus ticket (hard copy) to the Board, failing which no TA will be paid. For all other modes of travel, TA is admissible as per the government-authorized rules. 

Candidates were required to create AFCAT 01/2022 candidate login online. The login credentials were created at the time of AFCAT 2022 registration. Candidates can check their AFCAT 1 2022 results through the candidate login.

The official website of IAF AFCAT is not working due to the heavy load at the server. Several students are facing issues while checking the AFCAT 1 result 2022. Candidates are advised not to panic and should try checking their results within an interval of five minutes.

Along with the result, IAF has activated the link to select seats for AFSB interview. The link is active from March 9 (1 pm) to 14 (9 am).

AFCAT 1 2022 cutoff has been announced. The AFCAT cutoff is 157 while it is 18 for EKT. Candidates who have secured the equal to or more than the cutoff marks have been selected for AFSB interview.

Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) is administered to recommended candidates only. This is once in a lifetime test. Candidates who have failed the CPSS/ PABT in an earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy will not be eligible.

Stage II comprises Psychological test and is conducted on Day 1 and the Group Tests and Interview will commence after document check for the next five days.

Stage I of AFSB interview is Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion test will be conducted on the first day. Stage-I test is a screening test and only those who qualify would undergo subsequent testing. All Stage-I qualified candidates would be subjected to document check to ascertain their eligibility for the branches applied for. Candidates who either do not qualify in Stage-I or do not meet the required eligibility criteria would be sent back on the first day itself.

Candidates are advised to be physically fit when they report for SSB in order to be able to undergo various tests at AFSB. They should aim to achieve an ability to
run one mile (1.6 kms) in 10 minutes, 10 push-ups, and three chin-ups.

The merit list of AFCAT is published after the AFSB interview is conducted. The final merit list is prepared based on the AFCAT exam and AFSB interview.

After admission to Air Force Academy, candidates will not be considered for any other commission. They will not be permitted to appear for any interview or examination after they have been finally selected for training in AFA. No request for withdrawal of candidature received from a candidate after he/she has submitted his/her application will be entertained under any circumstance.

Training is scheduled to commence in the first week of January 2023 for all courses. The approximate duration of training for Flying and Ground Duty
(Technical) Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments.

Candidates should avoid the request for change of AFSB interview date. Requests for postponing interviews may be considered under genuine circumstances
and that too if it is administratively convenient for which Air Headquarters will be the sole deciding authority. Such requests should be sent to AFSB Centre from where the call for AFSB interview has been received through e-mail only. 

AFCAT 1 2022 result will be announced online on the official website. However, the direct link to check the result will be provided on this page. The hard copy of the scorecard will not be sent to candidates by post.

Candidates who will qualify the AFCAT exam are required to choose AFSB date and venue by registering themselves on the official website inorder to generate the call up letter for AFSB interview.

The OIR test tests the verbal and non-verbal reasoning of a candidate, to evaluate the candidate’s intelligence and competence.

In this test, candidates are required to view a picture for 30 seconds, Note down details inferred from it in a minute, and write a story on their perception in the next four minutes. Thereafter, candidates are required to discuss it in a group to narrate and form a common story.

Those who qualify the AFCAT test will be required to register for AFSB interview within the deadline fixed by the examination authority. The call up letter is generated only after candidates successfully registers themselves for AFSB interview.

AFSB interview is conducted at Dehradun (1 AFSB), Mysuru (2 AFSB), Gandhinagar (3 AFSB), Varanasi (4 AFSB), and Guwahati (5 AFSB).

As per previous years' trend, AFCAT result is usually announced 15 to 20 days after the exam is conducted. It is expected that AFCAT 1 2022 result will be announced by March 9.

The documents required at the time of AFCAT AFSB are given below:

• AFCAT Admit Card
• Original Matriculation/ Secondary School Certificate and Mark sheets issued by CBSE/ ICSE/ State Board. No other certificate will be accepted for verification of Date of Birth Original Marks Sheet & Certificate of 10+2 (issued by the relevant Board)
• Original/ Provisional Graduation Degree/ Post Graduation Degree Certificates and Mark Sheet of each year/ semester issued by University - only for verification of educational qualifications to check eligibility for the course. Provisional Certificate issued by college Principal is not acceptable. However, Provisional Degree Certificate issued by the University is acceptable
• In case of final year/ semester students, a Certificate from the College Principal, clearly mentioning the following aspects annotated with proper stamp and seal of the

2. Name of the College
3. Name of the University
4. Discipline in which Graduation/ Post Graduation obtained
5. Aggregate Percentage
6. Likely Date of Declaration of Final Result (in DD/MM/YYYY Format)
7. Two attested photocopies of each of the above mentioned certificates
8. Original NCC Certificate (if applicable)
9. NOC from employers for candidates working in Central/ State Govt. or Public Sector Undertakings
10. Original valid Commercial Pilots’ License, issued by DGCA, if applicable
11. Inbound Railway Ticket/ Bus Tickets. (For refund of Travelling Allowance)

• Candidates are also advised to bring twenty copies of recent passport size colour photographs taken in light coloured clothes against white background for documentation

AFCAT 1 2022 result is expected to be declared by today evening, i.e, on March 7. The result will be announced on the official website-afcat.cdac.in. To download the result, candidates need to enter the required credentials.

The AFCAT AFSB Interview process is given below:

Candidates joining as Permanent Commission officers will continue to serve till the age of superannuation in their respective branches as per their rank. The engagement period for Flying Branch (Men and Women) Short Service Commission Officers is fourteen years from the date of Commissioning (Non-extendable).The initial tenure for Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) SSC Officers will be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit.

 A total of 269 vacancies have been announced for the exam. Out of the total vacancies, 10 per cent seats out of CDSE vacancies are reserved for Permanent Commission (PC) and 10 per cent of seats out of AFCAT vacancies for Short Service Commission (SSC) are reserved for the NCC Special Entry Flying branch. Indian Air Force (IAF) prepares a list of candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the AFCAT Exam. Such candidates are called at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB). The AFSB consist of three tests - Officer Intelligence Rating Test, Psychological test and for Flying Branch - Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS).
