Qualifying in the certification exam is mandatory to practice in a court of law. AIBE XVI exam was held in offline mode on October 31, 2021.
The Bar Council of India (BCI) will declare the results of the AIBE 2021 anytime now; the council on January 18 had notified that results would be declared in the 1st week of February. The result would be released in online mode at - allindiabarexamination.com. To check their results, the candidate needs to log in to the result portal by entering one’s roll number and date of birth. The BCI may also release the AIBE answer key 2021 along with the results.
The result would include the qualifying status of the candidate. Those who qualify in the exam are issued the Certificate of Practice (CoP), which is compulsory for practicing law in Indian courts.
How to check AIBE results 2021
- Go to the AIBE portal
- Click on the result link (it will be activated once result is declared)
- A login window will open
- Enter your roll number and date of birth
- On login, you can see your qualifying status

The AIBE XVI result would include the following details.
- Candidate’s name
- Roll number
- Date of birth
- Category under which qualification is sought
- Qualifying status
AIBE 2021 qualifying status and percentage
The result wouldn’t include sectional or overall marks. Consequently, BCI will also not release any topper lists. The result would only include the qualifying status. Those who qualify in the exam will be issued the CoP. The Certificate of Practice for the AIBE XVI exam will be issued a few months after the declaration of results. The candidate has to collect it in person from the respective bar councils. The availability of CoPs for AIBE XVI will be notified on the BCI website. Note that the CoP is currently available for the AIBE XV exam.

AIBE 2021 qualifying marks
While the qualifying percentage is fixed, the qualifying marks may change.
- For instance, the AIBE XVI is conducted for 100 marks. So, the qualifying mark for the general category is 40 marks.
- But, if during evaluation of the question paper a wrong question is found, then the question could be dropped.
- In that case, the total marks would come down and so will the qualifying marks.
AIBE Final Answer Key 2021
The BCI is also expected to release the final answer key of AIBE XVI at the time of declaration of results. The AIBE answer key 2021 would contain the correct and official answers to all the 100 questions asked in the exam.
Note that, unlike the provisional AIBE 2021 answer key, the final answer key can’t be challenged any further.
