AIBE website is not working for more than 24 hours now. Candidates are still awaiting AIBE XVII (17) exam date and application form notification. Read details here.

The All India Bar Examination official website - allindiabarexamination.com and aibe15.allindiabarexamination.com are not working for more than 24 hours now. Since, the Supreme court of India reserved its decision on validity of AIBE as a post-enrollment examination, it is expected that the Bar Council of India (BCI) is planning to release the exam notification and AIBE XVII (17) application form 2022.

In August, BCI Chairman informed that the AIBE exam will be held within three months i.e. October or November 2022. However, due to ongoing hearing on compiled cases challenging validity of AIBE, the exam notification has been delayed. Moreover, as the exam will be conducted through a new testing agency that fulfills the criteria for AIBE tender.

BCI official website - www.barcouncilofindia.org is also not updated with AIBE XVII (17) 2022 related information. The website was last updated on September 28, for 18th Bar Council of India Qualifying Examination for Indian National Holding Foreign Law Degrees. The qualifying examination will be held for Foreign Law degree holders (Indian National) from December 5 to 10, 2022.

The exam authority had released AIBE XVII (17) syllabus 2022 on August 17 mentioning main topics from core law subjects on which the exam will be based. The new testing agency (to be decided by BCI) will be preparing AIBE XVII question paper 2022 based on the new syllabus. The candidates will be able to take exam either in online mode or offline mode.

This time, AIBE exam will be open to all candidates who have graduated in Law but were working in jobs other than legal domain. Moreover, Law graduates who did not practice the profession for more than 5 years (even after registering with State Bar Council and qualifying AIBE exam), need to re-appear for this year's exam, if they wish to practice career in law.
