All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) released a public notice regarding the grant of NOC for conducting open and distance learning (ODL) and online (OL) programmes for the academic year 2021-22. The official notice released by AICTE reads, “Universities (Central, State and State Private) who have applied to UGC (as per Gazette Notification dated 04th September 2020) to run ODL/Online courses against the UGC Public Notice No. 1-23/2021 (DEB-I) dated 14.07.2021 and want to take NOC from AICTE to run the courses in Management, Computer Applications, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Logistics and Travel & Tourism may apply on AICTE portal https://www.aicte-india.org/ by paying the TER charges.”

The University Grant Commission (UGC) in its notice dated July 14, 2021, stated, “Invitation for applications from ELIGIBLE Higher Educational Institutions (HEIsf for recognition of Open and Distance Learning (ODL| Programmes and Online (OLf Programmes from 2O2l-22, academic session beginning July, 2O2llrevlsed as Novemberr 2O2Ll* and onwards.” It further added, UGC invites fresh applications from atl eligible Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) as per UGC (Open and Distaace Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2O2O and its amendment for offering Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Programmes and Online (OL) Prograrnmes from 2O2L-22, academic session beginning Ju1y, 202l(revised as November,2O2Ll* and onwards. The Online portal for submitting applications shall remain open from 15tt July, 2O2L to 31.t July, 2O2L. The duly certified hard copy of the applications along with annexure should reach at: Joint Secretar5r, Distance Education Bureau, UGC, 35, Feroze Shah Road, New Delhi -11OOO1 within 10 working days of submission of online application.”
