AKTU postpones carryover exams till October 20
The exams that were scheduled to be held on October 15, 2022, will now be held on October 20, 2022.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has issued a notice in connection with the postponement/amendment of the examination to be held on October 15, 2022.
As per the circular, AKTU’s additional carryover examinations of odd and even semester for the 2021-22 academic session have been postponed. The exams that were scheduled to be held on October 15, 2022, will now be held on October 20, 2022. The exams have been postponed due to a date clash with the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) PET 2022 exam, which will be conducted on October 15 and 16, 2022.
Candidates who will qualify the UPSSSC PET 2022 will be eligible to apply for various Group C Posts. UPSSSC has changed the PEC exam centre at Lucknow named ‘Balika Vidya Niketan Inter College, Bala Kadar Road, Kesarbagh, Lucknow’. Candidates who were scheduled to report at the above mentioned centre will have to appear at 'KM, Public Inter College Block-B, Sector 9, Vrindavan Yojna, Awas Vikas Colony, Lucknow'.
AKTU to set up 3 centres of excellence
The Syndicate of the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (AKTU) has decided to establish three centres of excellence of international standards to lead innovative studies and research in science and technology. The centre for excellence on sustainable development and carbon neutrality will be set up on the campus of the Government Engineering College (GEC), Kannur.
The centre for excellence in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics and automation will be set up at the Model Engineering College (MEC) in Thrikkakara. The centre on emerging materials and related fields will be set up at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT) in Kottayam. The university has set aside INR 30 crore in the budget for establishing the centres of excellence.
