NATA 2024 exam pattern has been revised. Candidates can now check the latest NATA exam pattern 2024 and syllabus released by the authorities of CoA. The Council of Architecture (CoA) has released the official NATA 2024 brochure online at nata.in. With the release of the NATA 2024 official brochure, there are several changes that the authorities have announced for the upcoming examination session. Along with the announcement that NATA 2024 will be held in two sessions every weekend from April 6, 2024, to July 2024, the authorities have also made some changes in the NATA 2024 exam pattern and syllabus.
NATA 2024 Exam Pattern
CoA has released the official NATA exam pattern 2024. The candidates are advised to check the exam pattern carefully as some major changes have been introduced. NATA 2024 will now be held as both online and offline tests.

What is the NATA 2024 syllabus?
Along with the exam pattern, the official NATA 2024 syllabus has also been made available for the candidates’ reference. While preparing for the examination, the candidates are advised to check and refer to the syllabus of NATA 2024.
Part A - Drawing and Composition Test
- A1 - Composition and Colour Test - Creating suitable compositions for various situations and colouring them appropriately. Re-arranging various shapes in a visually appealing manner and colouring it suitably.
- A2 - Sketching and Composition (Black and White) - Ability to draw, visualize, and depict a situation, involving buildings/its components, people, environment, products with an understanding of scale, proportions, textures, shades and shadow etc.
- A3 - 3D Composition - Creating interesting 3D compositions for the given situation using the provided kit.
Part B - MCQs
- Visual Reasoning - Ability to understand and reconstruct 2D and 3D composition, knowledge about its composition and technical concepts.
- Logical Derivation - Ability to decode a situation, composition, context and generate meaning. Understanding the minute information hidden in a particular situation and drawing conclusions.
- G.K. Architecture & Design - General awareness of architecture and design, current issues, recent episodes etc., Knowledge about important buildings, historical progression, innovation in materials and construction technology.
- Language Interpretation - Ability to correctly & logically generate meaning of words, and sentences, and understanding about English grammar.
- Design Sensitivity - Ability to observe record and analyze, people, space, product, and environment. Critical thinking, reasoning and ability to identify subtle communications.
- Design Thinking - Ability to understand semantics, metaphors, problem identification and definition, and analysis of a given situation.
- Numerical Ability - Basic Mathematics and its association with creative thinking. To unfold a space with the use of geometry.
NATA 2024 application form will be released on March 1, 2024. Candidates will be able to apply for a maximum of 3 attempts for NATA 2024. Out of the three attempts, the best score will be used for admissions. The final date to submit the NATA application form 2024 is yet to be announced.
