SET 2021 will be conducted in online proctored mode, check the guidelines that are to be followed before and during the exam in the article below.

Symbiosis Entrance Test 2021 will be conducted on July 27, 2021, in online proctored mode. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted in the computer-based test mode, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown, the mode of examination has been changed. Due to the prevailing coronavirus situation, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) decided to conduct the SET 2021 exam in online proctored mode with the help of Artificial Intelligence and Human Proctoring.

The registrations for SET 2021 are underway and will close on June 4, 2021. Read the article below to know the guidelines laid by the university to take the online test and SET exam schedule.

*Note: The WAT round will be conducted on the SET exam day. The total duration of the exam will be 90 minutes, where 60 minutes will be given to MCQs and 30 minutes will be given to the Written Ability Test (WAT).

How to Apply for SET 2021?

Check out the steps mentioned below to know how to apply for SET 2021 exam.

  • Visit the official website of SET
  • Click on ‘Register Now’ button on the homepage or copy https://set2021.ishinfosys.com/SETY2103/Register/Index.aspx
  • Carefully read the instructions and fill in details such as name, date of birth, email ID, address, preferred test city, etc. as requested
  • Upload the required documents such as signatures and photographs
  • Finally, click ‘Save and Continue’ to submit the SET application form
  • The candidates will be redirected to the fee payment page where they need to pay the application fee online
  • Finally take a print out of the SET application form

SET 2021: Guidelines for Online Proctored Mode of Examination

Candidates can take the SET 2021 exam from their homes using a laptop or a desktop (with a webcam) and a 5 MBPS uninterrupted internet connection. They will be invigilated using AI and Human Proctoring. Students must take the exam ethically and honestly as Symbiosis University holds the right to disbar the candidate if he/she is found to be involved in malpractice.

Basic Instructions

  • Candidates must use a laptop/desktop which has Windows 7, 8, 10 and Ubuntu LINUX (14.1 and 16) version
  • If the candidate is using a laptop, then he/she must make sure that it is connected to the charger throughout the exam
  • The laptop/desktop must have a minimum of 4GB of RAM and an Intel Core i3 processor or above
  • There must be at least 100 MB of free space in the system
  • Candidates must be seated in front of the laptop throughout the exam duration
  • The face of the candidate must be clearly visible, hence they must sit in an area that has good lighting 
  • Candidates must take the exam in formals
  • There shouldn't be any disturbance in the background 
  • No electronic gadget other than the mobile phone which has the registered number will be permitted
  • Candidates will be required to fulfill the IT infrastructure requirements needed to take the test 

Instructions to be Followed During the Exam

  • Candidates must not leave their seats throughout the exam because their videos and images will be recorded and supervised in real-time with the help of AI and Human Proctor. If they do so, it will be considered a violation.
  • Applicants must not open any other application window and if anybody would be caught doing so, he/she will not be allowed to give the exam.
  • No breaks are allowed during the exam
  • Candidates cannot use any electronic gadget such as a tablet, calculator, etc. while giving the exam
  • Candidates are not allowed to talk or speak during the exam
  • Candidates must not disturb the position of the webcam during the exam. It will auto-submit the test.
  • Candidates must use the same system for all the tests
