SET 2025 is scheduled to be held on May 5, 2025, and May 11, 2025, in the computer-based test mode. With only three months left for the SET 2025 exam, many aspirants are wondering if three months are sufficient for the exam preparation. Shiksha conducted an exclusive poll to understand aspiring students' perspectives and gather insights on their confidence levels and preparation strategies.

SET exam registration 2025 is ongoing and the last date to apply for the SET exam 2025 is April 12, 2025. Students can register on the official website of SET, set-test.org. According to the ongoing poll, it has been revealed that there is a difference of opinion among students.

  • 46% believe three months is enough, considering the syllabus to be easy.

  • 10% feel the Quantitative Aptitude (QA) section is difficult, making three months insufficient.

  • 6% think one month of preparation is enough to crack the exam.

  • 6% feel three months should be sufficient but are not entirely confident.

  • 32% are uncertain or have not started their preparation yet.

Shiksha's SET Poll Analysis: What Does it Mean for SET Aspirants

The majority of the SET aspirants (46%) believe that three months are enough for the SET exam preparation by covering the SET syllabus, indicating that with a well-planned SET preparation strategy, there are chances of scoring well in the exam. However, 10% of the students find the Quantitative Aptitude (QA) section challenging, suggesting that this section may require additional focus and practice efforts.

Interestingly, over 30% of students have still not started their preparation which could indicate uncertainty of the difficulty level or hesitation in beginning the SET preparation journey.

How to Prepare for SET 2025: What Do Experts Say

  • Aspirants should prepare for the SET exam by building a well-structured study plan and preparation strategy. They can divide the prep plan into phases. Such as:

First phase: Completing the SET syllabus and understanding the exam pattern

Second phase: Practicing sample papers and knowing your strengths and weaknesses

Third phase: Topic-wise revision and practice

  • Students should focus more on the section they find the most difficult. For instance, as revealed from the poll, students find the QA section tough. With regular practice and shortcut techniques, students can improve their speed and accuracy.
  • They must try to solve sample papers and take an ample number of SET mock tests. Taking mock tests can help the students assess their SET preparation levels and improve time management.
  • Many experts say that an early start is the key. Since a significant percentage of students have not yet started their preparation, early preparation can reduce last-minute stress and help the aspirants prepare better.

While three months may be enough for SET preparation for many, individual preparation levels and strengths in different sections and subjects matter. Candidates should focus on capitalizing their strengths and work on their weaknesses through consistent practice to maximize their chances of success in SET 2025.
