Bihar department of education also released an official notification directing schools to ensure to conduct mid-day meals in schools along with offline classes following all the COVID-19 protocols in place from February 28. Schools not following directions will face consequences if found not following the instructions and strict actions will be taken against the schools, the education department of Bihar said.

Amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus across the country, the state had closed mid-day meals facility in 2020 and the government has been providing dry ration to students’ parents and transferring money for food to bank accounts of students, the education department said.
