Opposition party Assam Jatiya Parishad has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the Assam HSLC paper leak matter.

Assam HSLC Paper Leak Row: Assam police has identified two teachers as the masterminds behind the Assam HSLC Class 10 question paper leak, according to Assam Director General of Police  GP Singh. He further added that the force has detained one of them and another one is absconding. However, the Police is confident that they will nab the accused soon. The Police has detained, Pranab Dutta, the head teacher and centre in-charge of Luhit Khabalu High School of Majuli.

"He will be arrested today and brought to the CID headquarters here on transit remand," Singh said. The other accused, Kumud Rajkhowa, a teacher of Daflakata High School in Lakhimpur, is a close associate of Dutta, he said.

Singh said remnants of burnt question papers have been recovered from the house of Dutta, and those are being sent for forensic examination. The police has also established the chain through which the papers were leaked and circulated, claimed Singh. Days after the general science question paper leak of the Class 10 state board exam, the Assamese paper also got leaked, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

AJP demand removal of SEBA Chairman

Opposition party Assam Jatiya Parishad has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the Assam HSLC paper leak matter. The party has also demanded the removal of SEBA chairman Ramesh Chand Jain for the leak of Class 10 board papers and asked for a judicial probe into the scandal.
