In the 2024-25 academic session, 7,90,999 students from approximately 4,538 CBSE schools have chosen Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the secondary level (Classes IX and X), while 50,343 students from nearly 944 schools opted for AI at the senior secondary level (Classes XI and XII). These statistics underline the growing popularity of AI education in CBSE-affiliated schools since its introduction in 2019.
Key Developments in AI Curriculum
CBSE's AI curriculum aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes 21st-century skills like Machine Learning and AI. Initially offered as a 15-hour module in Class VIII, AI is now available as a skill subject for Classes IX to XII.
In a recent parliamentary session, the Minister of State for Education, Jayant Chaudhary, addressed a query by MP Chudasama Rajeshbhai Naranbhai regarding AI courses. The minister highlighted:
The necessity of AI education for contemporary skill-building and the CBSE’s introduction of AI in 2019. The autonomy of State Boards to decide on implementing AI courses, given education is a concurrent subject. CBSE’s directive ensuring affiliated schools maintain IT infrastructure to facilitate AI and other IT-based courses effectively.

CBSE Board Exam 2025 Dates Announced
The CBSE released the date sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams 2025 on November 20, giving students 86 days to prepare.
Class 10 Exams: Start on February 15 with English and conclude on March 18, including subjects like Computer Applications and Artificial Intelligence.
Class 12 Exams: Begin with Entrepreneurship on February 15 and end with Psychology on April 4.
Practical Exams: Scheduled from January 1, 2025, for regular schools.
This dual emphasis on integrating AI into the curriculum and ensuring comprehensive infrastructure marks a significant step toward equipping students with future-ready skills.

Students need to score at least 33 percent in all subjects and a minimum aggregate of 33 percent in CBSE 12th board exams 2025 in order to clear the examinations.
The Board has released the CBSE 12th syllabus and marking scheme for all subjects. Students must ensure to complete their syllabus and know the exam pattern well. They must nalso download and solve the CBSE 12th sample papers and previous years' question papers to perform well in the exams.
Once done with the syllabus and practice, students will be able to clear the 12th board examinations will good percentage.

There is no concept of good or bad marks. You must focus on your studies and work hard towards achieveing good score in the board exams. The concept of good/bad marks can be benchmarked by you depending on the stream/career you have chosen for yourself.
