The Central Board of Secondary Education slashed 30% of its syllabus for the upcoming academic year 2020-21 for Classes 9 to 12. CBSE announced on July 7 that the syllabus for 2020-21 would be reduced by a third because of the "extraordinary situation" as the world fights the coronavirus pandemic. Along with subjects, the board also revised the Economics and Political Science courses for grades 9 to 12.
