After Cancelling the CBSE 10th Board Exams 2020 and making the CBSE 12th Board Exams optional, the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE would be releasing the CBSE 10th 12th Results 2020 soon. Considering the Supreme Court’s suggestion, the board decided to cancel the remaining CBSE Class Board Exams 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2020 in July and declare the CBSE 10th results 2020 and CSBE 12th Results 2020 on the basis of internal assessment. Now, CBSE Results 2020 would be declared by mid-July, clarified the board.

CBSE Board Exams 2020 Cancelled! How would the marks be awarded?
As the CBSE 10 Board Exams are cancelled and CBSE 12th Exams will only be conducted after the normalcy is restored, the CBSE will soon release results by mid-august. The board would be releasing the CBSE 10th results 2020 and CBSE 12th Results 2020 based on the internal assessment for the previous three papers for all the students for the exams that were not conducted. The marks for the internal and the papers that were conducted would be taken as is. For class 10, there would be no option for change – for CBSE Class 12, however, students would get an option to appear for the examination. Students can decide to appear for the pending CBSE 12th Board Exams 2020 later (as and when the CBSE decides to schedule the pending exams) and improve their CBSE 12th Results 2020.
Clarifying to the SC, SG Mehta stated that no examinations would be conducted in July. However, for Class 12 students, there would be an option to appear for the examination later when the situation is conducive.
For the students who decide to appear for the examination conducted by the board at a later date, the marks scored in the exams would be considered as final and CBSE 12th Results 2020 would be released based on the same.
CBSE 10th 12th Results 2020 Assessment Details
10th 12th students confused with the assessment procedure opted by CBSE to release CBSE 10th results 2020 and CBSE 12th results 2020, here's the answer to all your questions:
(a) For the students of both classes-X and XII, who have completed all their examinations, their results will be declared based on their performance in the examinations.
(b) For students who have appeared in the examinations in more than 3 subjects, the average of the marks obtained in best three performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted.
(c) For students who have appeared in the examinations in only 3 subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the best two performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted.
(d) There are very few students of class-Xll, mainly from Delhi, who have appeared in the examinations in only 1 or 2 subjects. Their results will be declared based on performance in the appeared subjects and performance in internal/practical/project assessment. These students will also be allowed to appear in the optional examinations conducted by CBSE to improve their performance, if they desire to do so. Result of these students will also be declared along with other students.
As for the internal assessment, the exact percentage of marks that would be awarded and the formula has not been shared by the board. It is expected to be released by CBSE on cbse.nic.in soon. Students would have ample time to decide. For now, the exams are not being conducted and the CBSE 10th Results 2020 and CBSE 12th Results 2020 would be declared by mid-August.
