Q. Tell us something about your family background?
A. I come from Nagla Raghu village in Mainpuri district, Uttar Pradesh. I belong to a small family of four members. My mother, Geeta Devi, is a homemaker who manages the household chores, while my father, Rajpal Singh, is a farmer. My elder brother is pursuing his BTech degree at Shiv Nadar University.

Q. Tell me about your stream. Did you choose this stream by choice?
A. I opted for the Humanities stream, which included subjects such as English, Geography, Political Science, History, and Economics. These subjects not only captivated me but also provided me with valuable insights into current world events. My aim behind choosing this stream was to effortlessly crack the UPSC exam.

Q. How much have you scored in your CBSE Class 12 Board Exam?
A. I am the district topper from the UP region with a score of 99.25%.

Q. What was your strategy to score above 90% in CBSE Board Exam?
A. To achieve a score of more than 90%, it was crucial to maintain consistency and put in hard work. Recognizing the importance of classroom learning and with the support of my teachers at VidyaGyan, I ensured to remain attentive throughout. To ease the burden and stay on track, my teachers have mentored me in setting weekly targets, alternating challenging chapters with easier ones. Following the Diwali break, I increased my efforts and became more consistent, dedicating additional time to self-study.

Q. Who encouraged you the most in this journey?
A. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Shiv Nadar sir, Roshni Ma'am- the driving force behind VidyaGyan, and our esteemed principal, Meenambika Menon. The warm and nurturing environment at our school has been instrumental in fostering a conducive atmosphere for learning. I am particularly thankful to the dedicated teachers at Vidyagyan, who have imparted valuable knowledge and guidance, enabling me to thrive academically.

Along with this, my parents, and my friends have always supported me. Their unwavering love and support have been my constant source of motivation and inspiration. Without their encouragement, I would not have been able to reach this point in my academic journey.

Q. What was your routine during the CBSE board exam preparation?
A. Fortunately, at VidyaGyan during exams we are always provided with a proper schedule to prepare for our exams well in advance. My routine involved waking up at 5:30 am and attending school from 7:30 am until 1:45 pm. Post that I used to complete my homework. My teachers provided us with extra classes, where they helped us solve our queries on a daily basis. Along with my teacher’s added support, I did some self-study and would go to bed by 11 PM.

Q. What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming for?
A. I aspire to become an IAS officer and contribute to the betterment of the nation.

Q. What are your expectations with CUET? Are you well prepared for CUET?
A. I am not thinking about the outcome yet but I am putting forth my best efforts to prepare for CUET. Fortunately, much of the syllabus has already been covered in the subjects I studied during 11th and 12th grade. Currently, my focus is centred on covering current affairs and thoroughly reviewing the syllabus I have already studied.

Q. Which all courses and universities are you targeting?
A. My academic aspiration is to pursue a Bachelor's degree in either Political Science or History. If I secure admission to Delhi University, my top preferences include St. Stephen's, Hindu, or Lady Shri Ram College. Alternatively, if I am unable to secure admission to any of these colleges at Delhi University, my consecutive option would be Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.

Q. Please share some tips for students prepping to appear in CBSE Board Exams 2024.
A. It's essential to have unwavering confidence in yourself, trust in God's timing, and commit to working diligently towards your goals. Remember, persistence is the key to success, and even if it appears that nothing is working out in your favour, continue to persevere. You might be surprised to see how circumstances can shift and work out in your favour, as long as you remain steadfast in your efforts. So, keep pushing forward with determination and grit, and you will surely reap the rewards of your hard work.
