The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) postponed the remaining exams of Class 10 and Class 12 till further notice
The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) postponed the remaining exams of Class 10 and Class 12 till further notice due to the lockdown imposed to contain the spread of the deadly virus COVID-19. Earlier, the state board decided to conduct the pending CGBSE 10th and CGBSE 12thexamination after the end of the lockdown.
According to the CGBSE 10th Date Sheet 2020 and CGBSE 12th Date Sheet 2020 that the board released for the pending exams, the 10th, 12th CGBSE examinations 2020 were scheduled to be conducted from 4 May to 8 May.
In order to confirm the news, the Chhattisgarh Board released an official notification informing the further postponement of the pending examination. The circular mentioned that earlier the board had decided to postpone some of the exams for Classes 10 and 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic and hold them between 4 May and 8 May. However, due to the extension of the lockdown, the exams have been postponed indefinitely. The new dates of the remaining exams will be declared at a later date.
The government of Chhattisgarh earlier this month decided to promote the students of Class 1 to 9 and Class 11 without conducting the annual examinations due to the rising number of coronavirus positive cases. The state government ordered the closure of all academic institutions from March 12 and postponed all the exams due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Chhattisgarh has a total of 40 coronavirus cases. However, the deadly disease hasn’t claimed any life in the state so far.
