The Tripura Board of Secondary Education postponed the board exams in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. According to the reports, the TBSE exams scheduled between March 23 and March 31 are now suspended and postponed indefinitely until further notice. Students must note that fresh dates for TBSE class 12 and TBSE class 10 exams 2020 will be released by the Board considering the prevailing conditions. The notification regarding the revised datesheet will be shared on the official website of the Board.
For now, Tripura education board postponed all the exams including the Higher Secondary, Secondary (old syllabus), Madrasa Aleem, Madrasa Fazil and Madrasa Theology. However, no coronavirus positive cases are reported in the state yet. But the state decided to go under complete lockdown following the Health Advisory released by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Ministry of Human Resource & Development (MHRD).
On March 23, the Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb announced that the state will be under complete lockdown starting March 24 until March 31. During this period, offices, shops, public transports, schools, colleges, universities, and all the other places that attract large gatherings will be shut. People are requested to maintain social distancing. The government urged people to step out of their houses only during emergency conditions in order to avoid the coronavirus spread in the state. People are also asked to follow all the precautionary steps to avoid the outbreak. World Health Organisation has declared the rapidly spreading COVID-19 as a pandemic. The total number of coronavirus cases in India has risen above 500.
