According to the revised AP Intermediate Exam Time Table 2022, the Board has scheduled the Class 12 board exams from May 7 to May 24, 2022.
AP Intermediate Exam 2022 Postponed: Cyclone Asani approached the Andhra coastline and lashed parts of Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district with heavy rain this morning. Amid the terrifying weather conditions, the Andhra Pradesh government released certain important alerts including the postponement of Class 11 and 12 exams that were scheduled to be held on May 11. The rest of the exams scheduled from May 12 will be held as per the timetable released by the Board. There is no change in the schedule for the rest of the exams. According to the revised AP Intermediate Exam Time Table 2022, the Board has scheduled the Class 12 board exams from May 7 to May 24, 2022. Earlier, the AP intermediate exams were scheduled to be conducted from April 9 to April 28. The canceled exam will be held on May 25, according to the official notice.
Cyclone Asani Alerts
The government has issued various directives including the following:
- Cancellation of flights to and from Visakhapatnam
- Andhra Pradesh: Class 11 and 12 intermediate exams 2022 postponed to May 25
- Heavy rainfall warning issued for coastal districts
The authorities have taken the decision considering the safety of the students and staff. In an official statement, the Board said the remaining examinations from May 12 will be conducted as per the earlier schedule and timetable. There will also be no change in the examination centres.
Heavy Rainfall to Very Heavy Rainfall warning issued
A senior Indian Meteorological Department or IMD official told ANI that a heavy to very heavy rainfall warning has been issued along with the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh in the wake of cyclone Asani. Meanwhile, areas such as Telangana's Nalgonda, Suryapet, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam and Mulugu districts are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall.
