Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal extended his congratulations to students, teachers, and parents for the outstanding performance of Delhi government schools in the CBSE Class 10 examinations.
In a tweet shared earlier today, Kejriwal lauded the exceptional achievements of the students, highlighting a significant increase in the pass percentage.
"And a great result in Class 10 as well! With a result of 94.2%, Delhi Govt schools have shown an 8.36% increase from last year and have surpassed the CBSE national average as well," tweeted Kejriwal.
According to the data provided by the Chief Minister, the pass percentage for Delhi government schools in the 2023-24 academic year stands at a remarkable 94.2%, a notable surge from the previous year's 85.84%. This surpasses not only their own performance but also the CBSE national average for Class 10 results, which stands at 93.6%.
Kejriwal further highlighted the region-wise performance, with Delhi government schools recording a staggering pass percentage of 96.99%. "Not only does this surpass our own performance of last year, but it surpasses the CBSE national average as well," he emphasized.
The overall pass percentage for CBSE Class 12 examinations has been recorded at 87.98%, indicating a slight increase from the previous year. Of the total 16,33,730 students registered for the exams, 14,26,420 students successfully passed.
Delhi West region achieved a pass percentage of 95.64%, while Delhi East recorded a pass percentage of 94.51%.
In addition to Delhi's success story, the CBSE board exams witnessed an overall improvement in pass percentages for both Class 10 and Class 12. The pass percentage for Class 10 rose to 93.60%, while Class 12 saw a marginal increase to 87.98%.
Moreover, in Class 12, a notable number of students scored above 90% and 95%, indicating a steady rise in academic excellence.
The exceptional performance of Delhi government schools not only reflects a remarkable improvement in educational standards but also underscores the dedication of students, teachers, and parents towards achieving academic excellence.
