HBSE Board Exams 2021: The Haryana Board of Secondary Education (HBSE) has announced that it will be conducting the board exam for Class 8 students in 2021, after 11 years. The Board has started prepping up for the exam which will be conducted in the current academic session 2020-21. The Board Chairman, Dr. Jagbir Singh and Secretary Mr. Rajeev Prasad said that as per the Haryana Government's directions, amendments were made to the Haryana Right to Education (RTE) Rules 2011 and board exam will be held for class 8 students across the state.
In 2010, the Haryana Board conducted the Class 8 Board Exams. The number of students who sat for the 8th Board exam in 2010 was 3,67,247 and 3,44,698 passed. Until now, the Haryana Board conducted the Board exams for both regular and open students studying in HBSE 10th and HBSE 12th class. This year, however, due to coronavirus outbreak in the country, the Board had to postpone the exams.
For HBSE Class 10th, only Science exam was pending, which was later cancelled due to rising coronavirus cases in the state. The Board released the HBSE 10th Results 2020 and gave an option to students to appear for Science exams if they want to. HBSE Class 10th Results 2020 was declared on July 10. Total 3,37,691 students sat for the exam and 2,18,120 students passed. The overall pass percentage was 64.59 per cent, considerably higher than 57.39 per cent in 2019.
The Haryana Board conducted the pending HBSE Class 12th pending exams in July and announced the HBSE 12th Results 2020 on July 21. Out of the total 2,12,693 students who appeared for the exam, 1,70,881 qualified for higher education and 32,261 got compartment.
