Q. Please tell about the stream you are looking to get into in 10+2?
A. I look forward to take up commerce in 10+2 as I would eventually be pursuing law. Also, I am interested in learning about commerce.
Q. How much have you scored overall and subject-wise?
A. My overall score is 88.3 per cent, and as per best five subjects, I scored 90.8 per cent. The subject wise marks are as follows
English-94
Hindi-95
HC&G- 85
Maths-76
Science-90
Computer- 90
Q. What was your strategy to score above 90 per cent?
A. I knew in order to gain 90 per cent or above, I would have to get a minimum score of 540/600. For mathematics, I used to solve previous year papers and practice the topics that were repetitive and held a good number of points, whereas for other subjects, I practiced model test papers and took as many self-evaluation tests as I could.
Q. Who encouraged you the most in this journey?
A. It would be injustice if I take one name as there are so many people involved. My parents and my brother were an integral part. They gave me the much-needed confidence, the school as well as tuition teachers were always there to push me above my limits, my friends who worked as hard as I did. My grand parents and their prayers. They were the reason for my little success.
Q. What was your routine during ICSE board exam preparation?
A. It varied. I kept rotating between different schedules to lessen the possibility of burnout. It was mostly a good 8-9 hours of study in the initial stages then it turned into 15-17 hours in the last month, which included all-nighters mostly. The mornings were for problem-solving and the nights were for memorisation. I also used to go for evening walks to de-stress myself.
Q. What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?
A. I always had an inclination towards corporate law, which I have turned into my aim.
Q. Will you be applying for CUET after 10+2, what stream are you looking to go for after 12th?
A. Since I am looking forward to law as a career, I would be preparing for CLAT, and my target universities include the top 5 National Law Universities of India.
Q. Will you be going for JEE or NEET? What is the reason for choosing higher education in this stream?
A. Not sure if I am the right person to give tips, but for study tips Iβd say, solve as many test papers, previous year papers, very similar test as you can and be consistent and apart from that Iβd say that take every low mark and failure as a push. Have confidence in the efforts that you put in. Do take some time for a nice walk or a little gossip with your parents, it helps a lot. This is not your whole life; it is just a part of it. Aim for something more than you expect so that you eventually push yourself above your expectations.
