Minister for Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' will be conducting a meeting with all state education ministers tomorrow, i.e. April 28. During a live webinar conducted on social media to answer queries raised by students and parents across the country, Mr Pokhriyal addressed various questions related to the postponed exams, delayed results and upcoming academic year.
The minister asked parents and students to post their concerns and queries on Twitter and Facebook. Responding to the tweet, several parents, students as well as teachers put forward their demands including cancellation of pending CBSE and ICSE board exams, connectivity issues while attending online classes, fees hike despite government orders, lockdown affecting the mental health of students, the impact of online education on children and more.
While answering various questions, the HRD Ministry made this clear the board exams will be conducted but only for the main subjects. Talking about the revised schedule, the minister stated that the board will release CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2020 once the lockdown is lifted.
The minister also encouraged the students to utilize this lockdown period and asked them to enhance their skills for a better future. During the lockdown period, the education minister launched various social media campaigns and activities to keep students engaged and motivated. However, Mr. Pokhriyal stated that he will be meeting all the education ministers of India tomorrow, in order to discuss how each state can work through the education problems arising due to the novel coronavirus lockdown.
