JNVST Class 6 Admission 2025: Candidates looking to secure admission to Class 6 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) should note that the registration window for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for the 2025-26 academic session will close in just three days. Earlier, the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) had extended the last date for applications to September 25, 2024, moving it from the initial deadline of September 16. This extension offers a final chance for eligible students to apply.

How to apply for NVS registration Class 6 2025?

• Step 1: Visit the official website, i.e. navodaya.gov.in.
• Step 2: On the homepage, navigate and click on ‘NVS class VI registration’ link.
• Step 3: Complete the registration process.
• Step 4: Fill up the JNVST application form.
• Step 5: Pay the application fees and submit.
• Step 6: Download the confirmation page and keep a printout of it for further use

JNVST Class 6 Admission 2025: Application Process and Eligibility Criteria 

Students who have not yet submitted their applications are encouraged to do so promptly via the official NVS website at [navodaya.gov.in](http://navodaya.gov.in). It is crucial for candidates to submit only one application, as duplicate submissions will result in disqualification. Additionally, those who applied last year should refrain from applying again.

To qualify for JNVST Class 6 admission, applicants must adhere to the following eligibility guidelines:

- General Eligibility: Candidates must have been born between May 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015, and should not have completed Class 6 prior to the 2024-25 academic session.

- Rural Candidates:

  - Seat Reservation: 75% of seats are reserved for students from rural backgrounds.

  - Education Requirements: Applicants must have completed Classes 3, 4, and 5 at a government or recognized rural school.

  - Local Requirement: Class 5 must be completed in the district where the application is submitted.

  - NIOS Candidates: Students from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) need to provide a rural status certificate.

- Urban Candidates: Students who attended urban schools during Classes 3, 4, and 5 will be categorized as urban candidates.

Exam Schedule and Format 

The JNVST 2025 will be conducted in two phases: the first phase is scheduled for January 18, 2025, and the second phase on April 12, 2025. Both exams will commence at 11:30 AM and last for two hours, concluding at 1:30 PM. The test will feature 80 objective-type questions, totaling 100 marks across three sections. Candidates with disabilities will be allotted an additional 40 minutes to complete the exam.
