Karnataka NMMS Exam 2024 postponed!

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has announced the postponement of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) 2024 exam due to unavoidable circumstances. Originally scheduled for December 8, 2024, the exam will now be held on January 5, 2025. The announcement came through an official notice stating that districts, talukas, and schools should make sure the change is widely publicized to ensure that students are well-prepared for the rescheduled date.

Details of the Exam Structure and Schedule

The Karnataka NMMS 2024 exam will be divided into two papers: Paper 1, the Mental Ability Test (MAT), and Paper 2, the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Both papers will be conducted on January 5, 2025. Paper 1 will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, lasting for a total of 90 minutes, with an additional 30 minutes for students with disabilities. Paper 2 will take place from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, also with a 90-minute duration, and the same provision for extra time for students with disabilities.

Karnataka NMMS 2024 Passing Marks

To qualify for the Karnataka NMMS 2024, candidates must meet the minimum passing marks set for both the MAT and SAT papers. The qualifying marks differ according to category:

- General Category: 40% in both MAT and SAT

- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC): 32% in both MAT and SAT

Candidates who successfully qualify for the NMMS exam will be awarded an annual scholarship of INR 12,000, which will support their education from Class 9 onwards.

Rescheduled Exam Notice

The official notice on the KSEEB website also encourages schools to inform students and ensure that they are adequately prepared for the new exam date. This change aims to provide ample time for students to complete their preparations and perform well in the exam.
