The Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has unveiled an ambitious initiative titled ‘Key to Entrance’ to support over 800,000 students from public schools as they prepare for various undergraduate entrance examinations. The program was inaugurated by General Education Minister V. Sivankutty on Saturday, emphasizing the state’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities.

The initiative features a dedicated portal, www.entrance.kite.kerala.gov.in, offering free access to higher secondary and vocational higher secondary students from government and aided schools. Students can utilize a wealth of learning materials, including question papers, assignments, and mock tests, designed to aid their preparation.
Live Classes and Comprehensive Subject Coverage
Daily live classes will commence broadcasting on the KITE VICTERS channel starting September 30, with additional transmissions on two PM eVidya channels specifically designated for Kerala. Students unable to attend the live sessions will have the option to watch them later on the KITE YouTube channel. The program will initially cover essential subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, History, Political Science, Business Studies, English, and Geography, with plans to expand into more subjects in the future.
Continuous Evaluation for Enhanced Learning Outcomes
Each class will include self-assessment opportunities, allowing students to evaluate their progress and identify areas for improvement. The program also incorporates continuous evaluation through online model examinations to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Director of General Education Issues Directives for Implementation
To facilitate smooth implementation, the Director of General Education (DGE) has instructed all schools to provide the necessary technical resources for students. K Anvar Sadath, Chief Executive Officer of KITE, highlighted that this initiative represents the largest public entrance exam training system in Kerala, reaching nearly 800,000 students.
Building on Previous Success
Sadath expressed optimism about the program, aiming to replicate the success of last year's 'Crack the Entrance' crash course, which witnessed excellent participation and impressive results among students preparing for medical and engineering entrance exams.
