Maharashtra HSC, SSC Board Exams 2023: 75% attendance mandatory for MSBSHSE 10th, 12th exams

Now, as the situation has improved, the state education board has asked schools and junior colleges to ensure students fulfill the minimum 75% attendance criteria in the two terms in an academic year.

Maharashtra HSC, SSC Board Exams 2023: Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education has mandated a minimum of 75% attendance in both the terms for Class 10 and 12 students to appear for SSC and HSC exams next year. The Board stated that students were not insisted for 75% attendance for Maharashtra HSC, SSC board exams 2022 as most of the learning had taken place online and even away from their home cities in several cases due to the pandemic situation. Meanwhile, the Board had to cancel MSBSHSE 10^th, 12^th Board Exams 2021 amid the rising cases of the novel coronavirus.  

Now, as the situation has improved, the state education board has asked schools and junior colleges to ensure students fulfill the minimum 75% attendance criteria in the two terms in an academic year. Students will need 75% attendance in both June-October and October-February terms.

This year, Mah HSC, SSC board exam are scheduled to take place in September. HSC exams tentatively begin on February 21, 2023, and SSC exams on March 2. Meanwhile, the Board is yet to announce Mah HSC, SSC oral exams 2023 dates.

Students with low attendance to be alerted

Schools and colleges are hoping to finish the syllabus by December and get down to conducting preliminary exams in January-February. Schools are currently on Diwali break. Students with low attendance will be alerted. However, many schools believe that the 75% mandatory attendance rule should have been made clear at the beginning of the academic year.
