A group of teachers urged the state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to cancel the pending exams.
With the extended nationwide lockdown until May 3, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) decided to release the revised timetable for the pending class 10 and class 12 board examinations soon. But it looks that the state teachers are not satisfied with the rescheduling of the remaining MP Board exams. A group of teachers urged the state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to cancel the pending exams.
According to the reports, a group of higher secondary teachers wrote a letter to Madhya Pradesh CM urging the government to cancel the remaining board exams of MP Board 10th and MP Board Board 12th students. The teachers also suggested the announcement of the MP Board 10th results and MP Board 12th results on the basis of internal evaluation of the already conducted exams.
The demand is raised considering the stress the students are going through due to the prevailing situation. The continuous postponement of exams and uncertainty of the results can create anxiety and mental stress among students. Keeping the student’s mental health in mind, the teachers decided to make this demand. The teachers also claimed that many students come to Bhopal and Indore from remote areas to appear in the MP Board exams. Finding a transport facility would be difficult for such students if the remaining exams are conducted any time soon.
Earlier, talking about the decision yet to be taken regarding the MPBSE revised timetable for class 10, 12 students, the principal secretary of the school education department, Rashmi Shami stated the MP Board will take the decision in this regard after discussing the matter with CBSE. CBSE on April 15 declared that it will decide the timetable for the best interests of the students.
