Noida School Timings Revised Till Classes 8th From Jan 18 Due To Cold Weather

The school timings for classes up to 8 in Noida and Greater Noida have been changed amid the cold weather conditions. These revised timings will remain in effect until further instructions are received from the district administration. Get latest updates here 

Due to cold weather conditions, the Noida and Greater Noida schools timings from nursery to classes 8th has been changed. As per the new school timimgs, the schools in Noida will commence at 10 am starting from January 18, 2024. This timing will be in effect until further orders from the district administration, said Gautam Buddh Nagar Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar. 

Earlier, the classes from nursery to 8 were suspended till January 16 because of the cold weather conditions in the region. Panwar stated in an order that the decision had been taken in compliance with the instructions given by the District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, given the dense fog and extreme cold. The officer also called for strict enforcement of the order. 

As per HT reports, “In compliance with the instructions given by the District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, in view of the dense fog and extreme cold, classes in all schools from nursery to 8 will be conducted from 10 am from January 18 till further orders.”

However, the timings for students of classes 9th to 12th were changed to 10 am to 3 pm last week, according to a separate order issued by District Inspector of Schools Dharmveer Singh. This timing will continue till January 20, 2024. Also, the government schools in Noida usually follow a 9 am to 3 pm schedule in winters.
