In response to the ongoing severe weather conditions, the Telangana government has announced the closure of all schools and colleges statewide for tomorrow. Train Services Halted Due to Inundated Tracks

Train services have been severely impacted due to continuous rainfall. Authorities are working to address the situation and restore normalcy.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed government officials to maintain high vigilance to prevent any potential incidents. He also advised relocating residents from low-lying areas to relief camps. An advance plan for evacuating flood-affected areas and setting up relief camps is being prepared. Measures to prevent contamination of water sources, including chlorination, are also being emphasized.

Severe Weather Warnings Issued

The Met Centre in Hyderabad has issued a red warning for several districts, including Adilabad, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, and Narayanpet, predicting very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall on Sunday. Additional districts such as Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Jagital, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, and Warangal are also expected to experience heavy to very heavy rain.

Vijayawada recorded 18 cm of rainfall in the past 24 hours up to 8:30 am on Saturday, with more rain continuing throughout the day. Other affected areas include Machilipatnam and Gudivada, both receiving 18 cm of rainfall, Kaikaluru with 15 cm, and Narasapuram, Amaravati, and Mangalagiri with varying amounts of rainfall.
