According to the Board, the decision to implement the semester system in WB Class 11 is taken to lower the burden among students. WB Class 11 Semester System will be implemented from the academic session 2024-25 and eventually in Class 12 from 2025-26.
Semester System in WBCHSE Class 11
West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is all set to introduce semester system in WB Class 11. According to the Board, the decision to implement semester system in WB Class 11 is taken to lower the burden among students. WB Class 11 Semester System will be implemented from the academic session 2024-25 and eventually in Class 12 from 2025-26. The council has received the permission of the state school education department to introduce the system at higher secondary level in schools.
An official notice released by said council president Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, stated, “On behalf of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, we are glad to announce that the school education department, government of West Bengal, has given us the permission to introduce the semester system at the higher secondary level from the academic session 2024-25 for Class 11 and subsequently from the academic session 2025-26 for Class 12.”
Talking about the WBCHSE Class 11 Semester-wise syllabus, the council added that detailed syllabus and semester-wise implementation strategy will be uploaded soon.
