Tamil Nadu Board Exams 2020: Evaluation process to begin from May 27 under CCTV surveillance

The evaluation process of the Tamil Nadu Board Exams 2020 answer sheet is soon to commence. As the reports suggest, the checking will take place under CCTV surveillance. 

Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examination (TNDGE) is expected to begin the evaluation process of TN class 10, class 11 and class 12 answer sheets from May 27, 2020. According to the reports, a senior official of the Board confirmed that the evaluation work is expected to be completed by the end of June. As for the results, the TN HSC Results 2020 are likely to be announced in the month of June, soon after the pending exams are conducted on June 16.

The reports suggest, approximately 25,000 evaluators would be assigned the evaluation work of over 50 lakh Tamil Nadu Board Exams 2020 answer sheets. More than 8 lakh students appear for the HSC examinations conducted by DGE in Tamil Nadu. As scheduled, the Tamil Nadu board is expected to complete the evaluation work by the end of the first week of June. For the papers that are yet to be conducted, the evaluation would be done once the exam is conducted in June. Results would be released soon after.

The Board’s official said, “With the new schedule for the evaluation fixed from May 27, answer scripts correction work will go till June first week.” He further revealed that the process of shuffling of the answer sheets and transportation work has already started. Once that is complete, the answer sheets would be shared with the respective evaluation camps, where the checking would begin under watchful eyes and tight security.

This year, the evaluation work would take place under CCTV surveillance, remotely monitored from headquarters in Chennai. The answer scripts, once corrected, would be immediately uploaded in the central server system on the same day, to ensure speedy results.

Meanwhile, the state education board already announced the revised schedule for TN 10^th and TN 12^th remaining exams. According to the revised datesheets, the TN Class 12 pending exams of Geography and other subjects are scheduled for June 16. With the postponement of the board exams, the TN 12th Result 2020 is also delayed until June end.
