Students who passed the TS Class 12th intermediate exam in Telangana are encouraged to apply to secure their financial aid for the upcoming academic year. Students who were selected for the national scholarship in previous years will also be permitted to renew their applications for the academic year 2024-25.
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has officially announced that the last date to submit applications for the National Merit Scholarship for college and university students is set for October 31. This announcement is crucial for students who have successfully passed the intermediate Class 12 exam in 2024, as they are eligible to submit both fresh applications and renew existing scholarships.
Eligibility for Fresh and Renewal Applications
The Ministry of Education has confirmed that the October 31 deadline applies to fresh applications and renewing previously awarded scholarships under the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme. Students who passed the TS Class 12th intermediate exam in Telangana are encouraged to apply to secure their financial aid for the upcoming academic year. Students who were selected for the national scholarship in previous years will also be permitted to renew their applications for the academic year 2024-25.
Important Verification Dates
The application verification process is critical, with the deadline for Institute Nodal Officer (INO) verification set for November 15. Students must ensure that their applications are submitted in a timely manner to facilitate this process.
Application Process
Interested students can apply through the official website at scholarships.gov.in. The Board has also provided a list of the top 20th percentile of provisionally selected candidates from IPE 2024, which includes a total of 59,355 candidates across various categories (GEN, OBC, SC, ST), with specific numbers for OBC (32,392), SC (8,089), and ST (5,198) students available on their official site, [tgbie.cgg.gov.in](http://tgbie.cgg.gov.in).
Revised Guidelines for Renewals
According to revised guidelines notified by the education ministry, students who missed the opportunity to apply for renewal of their scholarship online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) will still have a chance to renew their applications for the subsequent academic year. If they meet the eligibility conditions, they can apply for renewal, and their One Time Registration (OTR) ID will be generated by NIC-NSP and sent to their registered mobile numbers.
These applicants need to approach the Ministry with valid documentation to confirm their eligibility for renewal. Once verified, the Ministry will authorize their renewal for the academic year 2024-25.
Students are encouraged to act quickly to ensure they meet the deadlines and maintain their eligibility for this important financial support.
