CAT 2022 exam day is almost here. So revise notes, concepts, formulae and memorise short cuts and tricks to solve lengthy questions in less time. Take some time out from your last mile preparation to go through the CAT exam rules and regulations. For example, what to do, what not to do, what to carry, what not to carry on the exam day, etc.
To help CAT 2022 aspirants, we have listed some CAT exam day dos and don'ts. IIM Bangalore has also released the CAT 2022 test day guide, which has all that you need to know for the exam day. Here are the main points though.
CAT 2022 Exam Day Dos
- Reach the exam centre at the reporting time mentioned on your CAT admit card.
- Carry two copies of CAT 2022 admit card with your photo (preferably the same as uploaded in the application form) affixed on them.
- Carry a photo ID card issued by the Government of India such as Aadhaar card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport and Driving Licence.
- Carry original copies of other certificates to if applicable – scribe certificate, PwD certificate, medical certificate, name change certificate, etc.
- Wear a face mask and carry and sanitiser and personal drinking water to the exam centre.
- Cooperate with the CA T 2022 test centre staff during identification process.
- Follow the instructions given by the test centre staff and invigilator for smooth passage of the exam.
- Stay calm and give the test with ease. Attempt two-third of the total questions and focus on accuracy.
- Keep a check on the onscreen timer and keep saving your answers. Follow the test navigation properly to complete the test without hassles.
CAT 2022 Exam Day Don’ts
- Do not reach the CAT exam centre late. The entry gates will be closed 15 minutes before the exam commencement. After that no entry will be allowed under any circumstances.
- Do not carry bags, purses, pencil box, etc., to the CAT 2022 exam centre
- Do not carry electronic items such as beepers, wrist watch, calculators, mobile phones, electronic devices, scanners, cameras, wireless/Bluetooth transmission, etc.
- Do not wear closed shoes, jewellery made of metal, jackets, clothes with pockets. Mehendi on palms are not allowed.
- Do not argue with the test centre staff or the invigilator at any point of time.
- CAT 2022 will be conducted under CCTV surveillance, so don’t try to cheat or resort to any malpractice. You will be disqualified.
- Do not touch the computer keyboard at any point of time. It will lock your computer screen. Use only the computer mouse to enter your answers.
- Do not get up from your seat until told to do so. Even if you’ve completed your test, keep sitting until the announcement of exit process.
- Do not take along the rough sheet while exiting the test lab. Drop the rough sheet and pen in the drop box inside the test lab.
- Do not carry valuables or bags to the test centres as there will be no arrangement for depositing the same.
