Through this partnership, IIM-B will help Cargill with research and data driven solutions to help solve unique business challenges through Data Science capabilities.

IIM Bangalore has inked a pact with Cargill. Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and Cargill exchanged a Research agreement, to leverage the Data Centre & Analytics Lab at IIMB, led by Professor U Dinesh Kumar. Through this partnership, IIM-B will help Cargill with research and data driven solutions to help solve unique business challenges through Data Science capabilities.

“One of the main focus areas of the Data Centre and Analytics Lab (DCAL) at IIM Bangalore is supply chain analytics. In recent years, there has been a significant impact on supply chains of every product in the market. As a result of its partnership with Cargill, DCAL will be able to develop an analytics-driven solution to further strengthen supply chains and make them even more resilient,” said Professor Dinesh Kumar.

This partnership will help support a key component of Cargill’s strategy, focused on modernizing supply chain capabilities. IIMB’s expertise in data and analytics will help Cargill leverage predictive, prescriptive supply chain models that can be scaled to optimize supply chain performance. By creating an interdependent, digitally-enabled ecosystem for Cargill’s end-to-end supply chains, this partnership will help the company make better decisions and strengthen the way it works with customers.
