IIM, IIT Indore launches third batch of MSDSM

The virtual inauguration ceremony took place on August 7, 2023, in the presence of IIM Indore’s Director, Professor Himanshu Rai, and Professor Suhas Joshi, Director of IIT Indore. Programme Coordinators, Professor Amit Vatsa (Faculty, IIM Indore) and Professor Parimal Kar (Faculty, IIT Indore) were also present.

The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) and the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) have collaborated to commence the third batch of the Master in Data Science and Management (MSDSM) programme. The virtual inauguration ceremony took place on August 7, 2023, in the presence of IIM Indore’s Director, Professor Himanshu Rai, and Professor Suhas Joshi, Director of IIT Indore. Programme Coordinators, Professor Amit Vatsa (Faculty, IIM Indore) and Professor Parimal Kar (Faculty, IIT Indore) were also present.

The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of an exciting journey for the 81 participants who form the third cohort of MSDSM. With a vision to equip future leaders with the essential skills to navigate the dynamic landscape of data-driven decision-making, this programme brings together a diverse group of individuals, reflecting a tapestry of knowledge and experience.

The third batch of MSDSM comprises 53 male and 28 female participants, with 6.2% of non-engineers and 93.8% engineers. These individuals bring an average work experience of 35 months, with an average age of 26. Hailing from 14 states including Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Haryana, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh, this batch truly represents the geographic diversity of the nation.

With the launch of the third batch of MSDSM, IIM Indore and IIT Indore continue to lead the way in fostering excellence in data science and management education. The programme's comprehensive curriculum and collaborative learning environment promise to empower these future leaders to make meaningful contributions to their respective fields.
