Samsung Edge 8.0: MICA emerges as national winners; 3 students get PPOs

Students from top B-schools, BTech students from Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), product design students from design schools were allowed to participate in the competition. This year, a total of 9 teams, including students from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM A), IIM Bombay, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, NMIMS Mumbai, IIFT Kolkata, IIT Madras, XLRI, MICA Ahmedabad, were selected for final round of the competition.

Samsung EDGE 8.0: MICA has emerged as the national winner in Samsung EDGE 8.0. The competition is won by a team of 3 second-year students - Aviral Agarwal, Mansi Mathur, and Sakshi Bansal. The winning team won INR 4,50,000 cash prizes, Samsung flagship smartphones. Pre-placement opportunities (PPOs) were also offered to the students. This year, the theme of Samsung Edge competition was ‘Leveraging AI for customer centricity, experience and personalisation’.

The team member of MICA, Sakshi Bansal, said, “It was an amazing opportunity to apply classroom learning and come up with practical and innovative tech solutions. Every business is integrating Gen AI in their operations, and we proposed the same to Samsung, hoping to see our ideas getting implemented as well.”

Congratulating the winners, the college said, “Participating in such competitions allows students to apply creativity and innovative solutions to real-world business problems. Their success in such competitions proves that MICA commits to enabling students to enhance and showcase their skills, cultivating an environment of success.”
