XLRI, SRIHER sign MoU for Healthcare Professionals

The institutions also look forward to actively collaborating on areas of research relevant to the rapidly growing challenges faced by the healthcare sector. According to the official release, the first set of programs through this collaboration will be launched in April 2024.  

XLRI and Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Management Sciences (SRFMS), a constituent faculty of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop and offer various academic and professional programs to meet the growing demands for skilled healthcare management professionals. The institutions also look forward to actively collaborating on areas of research relevant to the rapidly growing challenges faced by the healthcare sector. According to the official release, the first set of programs through this collaboration will be launched in April 2024.  

The MoU was signed at a private ceremony in SRIHER campus by Dr K.S. Casimir, SJ. (Director, XLRI Delhi-NCR Campus) and Dr Uma Sekar (Vice-Chancellor, SRIHER). Also present at the ceremony were Dr Mahesh Vakamudi (Pro Vice-chancellor, SRIHER), Dr Roopa Nagarajan (Registrar, SRIHER) Mr. J. Ravi Sankar, (Director of Finance, SRIHER), Dr T A Srinivasan (GM-Legal Services, SRIHER), Dr R Sivakumar (Academic Officer, SRIHER), Dr. Selvam Jesiah (Principal, SRFMS), Dr Paramjyot Singh (Faculty, XLRI), and Dr Santosh Sangem (Faculty, XLRI).

Speaking on the occasion, Fr K S Casimir said “This collaboration with SRFMS is a vital step in our journey to contribute towards grooming and developing professional healthcare managers who will help address the nation’s imperative of managing the provision of highest quality, accessible, equitable, and affordable healthcare services to all citizens as part of our commitment to the broader UN Sustainable Development Goals to ensure universal healthcare provision by 2030. We are extremely excited to partner with SRIHER across academics and impactful policy-driven healthcare research in our endeavor to help address the need for a significantly large number of professionals trained in cutting-edge management practices relevant to the Indian healthcare sector.”

Dr Uma Sekar stated that the collaboration is a breakthrough in healthcare education and training which will undoubtedly benefit the healthcare professionals across the country. Dr. Mahesh Vakamudi calls this bilateral understanding of SRIHER with XLRI a leap forward in bringing a formidable change in the landscape of healthcare executive education.    

XLRI Jamshedpur Admission Process 2024

XLRI admission 2024 is open for EDHRM. XLRI Jamshedpur offers full-time Management programmes and part-time and Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL) courses for working executives. It also offers a full-time, residential doctoral Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). The institute also offers a few online courses through XLRI Online Learning (XOL). For XLRI Jamshedpur admission 2023, candidates are required to clear XAT.
