As a cautious step towards the safety of students, the government is mulling not to reopen school until children get vaccinated. However, the minister further expressed that ensuring that staff is 100% vaccinated is of utmost importance.

Chhattisgarh School Reopening: While states across the country is reopening schools amid the declining cases of the novel coronavirus, the Chhattisgarh government has different plans. According to ANI tweet, Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo in his latest statement said “It's not about reopening schools but caution, which is of umpteen importance... Perhaps schools will not be opened until children are vaccinated. But schools have to ensure that staff is 100% vaccinated.”

As a cautious step towards the safety of students, the government is mulling not to reopen school until children get vaccinated. However, the minister further expressed that ensuring that staff is 100% vaccinated is of utmost importance.

Meanwhile, the government is aiming to provide education to the students as per international standards. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel recently expressed that government schools in the state will be run as per international standards to provide quality education to students on the lines of the Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Schools, also known as SAGES.

He said the state government will also set up 'Balwadi' (kindergarten schools) for children above three years of age.

The CM made these announcements under the 'Chhattisgarh school education vision document 2030' while addressing the opening ceremony of the two-day Jawaharlal Nehru Rashtriya Shiksha Samagam, a congregation of educationists and innovative teachers being held here to mark the birth anniversary of the country's first prime minister.
