Following the guidelines, the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has also urged the principals of CISCE affiliated schools to encourage parents and guardians to get their children vaccinated at the earliest.
Amid the rising cases of the novel coronavirus, the union health ministry has issued advisory and guidelines for COVID-19 vaccination of children between the age group of 15 to 18 year. Following the guidelines, the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has also urged the principals of CISCE affiliated schools to encourage parents and guardians to get their children vaccinated at the earliest.
Stating that the commencement of the vaccination process for children is a positive step taken by the government with respect to the health and safety of the children, CISCE in its latest notice said, “As per the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India guidelines dated 27th December 2021, under the National COVID Vaccination Program, all children in the age group of 15 —18 years are eligible to take the COVID-19 vaccination from 3'd January 2022 onwards. This is indeed heartening and a positive step in the right direction, for the students in the examination Classes of X & XII.”
The notice further reads, “It will ensure their safety and protection while leaving the safe confines of their homes to travel to school, either to attend classes, do the Practical work or to appear for the Semester 2 Examinations. Considering the above, the CISCE has advised the heads of the CISCE affiliated schools to encourage the parents and guardians of their schools to get their wards in the age group of 15-18 years vaccinated at the earliest.”

It is expected that the Board will announce the ICSE, ISE term 2 exam dates soon. Meanwhile, CISCE conducted ICSE, ISC term 1 board exam 2021 in offline mode. However, Earlier, ICSE had given an option for students to take term 1 and 2 board exams 2022 in hybrid mode - both online and offline. Later, the board conducted the exam only in offline mode.
